Copper-based wound dressings

World’s first wound dressing products that are impregnated with copper oxide microparticles.

Leveraging copper’s potent antimicrobial properties, copper-based wound dressings provide a unique proposition to address acute, critical and chronic wounds. The copper-based wound dressings follow the successful commercialization of copper compounds impregnation into various fabrics and polymers after 15 years of research and protected by multiple patents worldwide.

Dressings are single-use wound dressing with an internal absorbent layer and one or two external non-woven, non-adherent layers. All layers are impregnated with copper oxide particles. The dressings are non-irritant, non-sensitizing, and are available in 7 configurations, with or without an adhesive contour.

COLLAGEN-BASED WOUND DRESSING PRODUCTS

Advanced wound dressing made from five key ingredients: collagen, sodium alginate, carboxylmethylcellulose (CMC), and ethylenediaminetetraacectic acid (EDTA).

Collagen dressings provide the scaffolding to help rebuild the extra-cellular matrix in a stalled wound. These dressings are designed to kickstart a stalled wound and aid with closure.

These dressings come in both silver and non-silver configurations as well as a non-silver powder.

SIZES

  • 2x2" (Sheet)
  • 2x4" (Sheet)
  • 1 Gram Pouches - Single or 10 Pack (Powder)

A Balanced Approach

  • Collagen is a major component of the extra-cellular matrix and has an established role in the wound healing process.
  • Maintains a moist wound environment that aids in the formation of granulation tissue and epithelialization.
  • The binding of divalent metal ions (as are present in wound exudate) by EDTA creates an environment within the dressing that is less conducive to degradation activities, such as hydrolytic and proteolytic breakdown of the dressing’s matrix.
  • Fish-derived collagen source, making it acceptable for many cultures and religions. provides additional benefits of 5% ionic silver in the formulation, providing broad spectrum antimicrobial activity within the dressing.

Powder Collagen

100% non-hydrolyzed type 1 bovine native collagen. It transforms into a soft gel when in contact with wound exudate. The topically applied wound powder maintains a moist environment that aids in the formation of granulation tissue and epithelialization.
